PROTOTYPES

Prototypes made to support the creation of my final collection

First prototypes

The first prototypes of this collection were made from scans of mono-prints on fabric, with fact-based criticisms on pay gaps between ethnic minorities, and white employees. 'Your TERF ideologies harm my community' is an opinionated criticism I hold over Trans Exclusive Radical Feminists, being a part of the Trans community myself.

Second prototypes

The second prototypes of this collection were made from scans of mono-prints, on both paper and canvas. This time, I strictly used statistics in order to communicate the severity of issue. The statements relate to the impact TERF behaviours have on Transgender youth.

Third prototypes

The third prototypes of this collection were made from scans of marbling inks on fabric. I altered them in photoshop to change the colour composition of each scan and made numerous renditions with varying coloured text. My mistake in these prototypes was moving away from statistics and instead using  opinionated criticisms of those in power, and their dictation over women's bodily autonomy. However, I felt this wasn't relevant enough to the idea of feminism being inherently exclusionary.
